Atlantic Coast Dismantling, LLC has been in business since 2008. Ben Ketschke was a founding member of the company. A recent partnership with 30-year demolition veteran Steven Testa has quickly re-established Atlantic Coast Dismantling's capabilities tenfold as the Northeast's premier demolition firm. ACD specializes in heavy civil, industrial, building, marine, bridge and selective demolition. Atlantic Coast Dismantling can also provide services in the sectors of heavy lift, critical lift, abatement and asset recovery.
Atlantic Coast Dismantling's estimating and project management staff, headed by Colin O'Hearn and Ralph Marchant, provides diverse backgrounds and industry-specific knowledge to design and implement operational plans, which are responsive to customer needs. Atlantic Coast Dismantling performs extensive project assessment and planning to develop contract terms and specifications, which address the unique requirement of each project.

Steve has experience in all levels of the demolition industry for over 38 years, specializing and excelling in Heavy Civil Construction and Demolition. He is considered one of the leading demolition experts in the country. He has overseen all operations of critical demolition over highways, waterways, and electrified railroad tracks without any negative impact. Steve first started in the industry at a young age working for his family who has been in business for over 47 years. Over the past 30 years, he has removed numerous elevated highways involving critical lifts over traffic and pedestrians on Boston’s Central Artery “Big Dig” project. He has successfully completed demolition projects in every sector including automotive plants, power plants, heavy & highway projects, marine demolition, commercial, residential and institutional facilities and buildings. He sets the tone for the company on his commitment to safety and is involved with the planning and management of all major projects by keeping an active presence on site. Steve has an extensive background in estimating, project management, contract negotiations and machine operations.

Partner
Ben has more than 20 years of experience specializing in demolition of commercial, residential, institutional facilities, buildings and power plants. He has an extensive background in the abatement and demolition of industrial and commercial mechanical systems including boilers, heat exchangers, chillers, air handling units, tanks, vessels, piping systems, stacks, process equipment and selective demolition in occupied buildings. He is involved with the planning and management of the field operations on all major demolition projects.
Ralph
Marchant
CEO
Ralph has been working in the heavy civil construction industry for over 30 years. He has functioned in several capacities including project superintendent, project manager and vice president. His experience includes work for the CA/T (Central Artery), MBTA and MassDOT. Ralph attended Central Connecticut State University, where he received a bachelor's degree in Construction Management.
Colin
O'Hearn
Vice President
Colin has been working in the demolition industry since 2006. He currently holds Professional Engineer licenses in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont and Rhode Island. He also holds an Unrestricted Construction Supervisors License in Massachusetts. Colin handles all the heavy civil and building estimating. He is also in charge of all engineering. With his engineering background, Colin is able to grasp any demolition challenge. Colin attended the University of Massachusetts - Lowell, where he received a bachelor's degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering.
Barry
Ketschke
Senior Project Manager
Barry has been working in the construction industry for over 40 years. His background is working in and around power plants. He was station director at both the Salem Harbor Station and Brayton Point Station. This knowledge helps Barry provide a superior ability to estimate and oversee various mechanical demolition projects. Barry attended Marietta College for his bachelor's degree and Northeastern University for his Master of Science in Environmental Science.
