Davis Path Footbridge
ACD was contracted by the Town of Brookline to remove an existing footbridge over the MBTA Green Line. The existing bridge was closed to pedestrian traffic due to severe structural issues. ACD performed the work during a nine day outage of the MBTA Green Line. ACD utilized a 600 Ton All Terrain Crane set up in a baseball field to pick the bridge. The existing bridge was constructed of reinforced concrete and weighed 121,000 pounds. Once the bridge was picked, the bridge was downsized and the concrete was recycled.
